Mural Progress...

It has been a little while since the last post (sorry, sorry!). Uni dead lines outta the way we are ploughing through the mural and prints for the upcoming Meadows Festival. Only three weeks to go! Here are a few pics.

 So far so good....

Also I have a new web site for anyone who is interested check out http://andreajackelleg.com/

Making a start...

We have just begun the mural for the meadows festival. Its not actually as daunting as it seems now we have put it up onto the wall. Still, we have a long way to go yet!

The count down...

Well today is the day we start really pushing to get organised for the Edinburgh Meadows Festival (http://meadowsfestival.3st.org.uk/), the first venture by the Yeti Projects . EEK! Check out the location.

We will hopefully be collecting work from artists to install in an art tent and also creating new work specifically for this event. To begin with here is a little yeti sketch I am hoping to adapt to a larger drawing. More on that later...

Monster sightings!

It seems only a few people on this planet have ever seen a Yeti with their own eyes. From this tiny fraction of people only a few have survived to bring us records of their sightings.
Look at this drawing by John Kenn:
We are truly privileged that John Kenn has survived his trips to bring us these exquisite hyperrealistic drawings of what just might be a Yeti. Please visit his blog to see the other creatures that have crossed his path.

You might be delighted to hear that I have seen a Yeti once as well. Luckily for my wellbeing its attention was completely invested in a task I did not completely understand. But please have a look at the photo I have made of it with my Canon X53.7:

I am still shaking to this day from this truly terrifying experience.

Inspiration...

To begin with I would like to list a few different links to artists who have created interesting spaces and installations. A little inspiration for the task ahead!
